Question:

Can a magnetic force pass through a solid wall?

If I have a strong magnet or magnetic force on one side of a wall, can any of that force extend beyond the wall and effect objects on the other side? What if the wall is only a couple of inches thick but extremely hard and solid (not hollow)?

Answer:

A weak magnet can hold paper to a metal surface. You're only asking a question concerning scale.
ABSOLUTELY! The earth is a gigantic magnet (Not gravity) and the force extends from the core out into the levels of the upper atmosphere. A magnet can go penetrate a wall
If the wall is not thicker than the magnetic field, and if it is not built of materials that insulate against electromagnetic forces.
