We just bought a 15' x 48quot; metal-frame above ground pool and we heard that it can crack the cement!!
I believe that much weight could break the average slab of concrete under 6 inches.I guess its all on how good the bed is .if it is solid evenly than maybe nothing will happen .
Whoever you purchase the pool from will the two setting up it in the different case they're going to advise a organisation to do it. consistently ask the fee of the pool , PLUS setting up, or does the fee contain the setting up.
=== depends on the depth of the concrete=== 15feet X 4feet is not a big amount of weight as pools go but the pressure can --- and most likely WILL NOT disturb the concrete patio .... be sure that you use a thick plastic sheet under the pool to protect the
How many gallons does the pool hold? figure 8 pounds per gallon of water. Granted it is spread out over the whole patio but over the years the ground under the concrete is probably not level anymore. Ground freeze, water washing underneath etc. that much weight is probably going to crack the concrete. Think about this, When I bought my hot tub both the hot tub supplier and the concrete installer recommend that I use an 8 bag mix, add fiberglass and pour the concrete at least 6 inches under the area of the tub.
An above ground pool is meant to be placed on the ground in a yard, not on cement. Yes, it can break the cement. If you have already filled it, the damage is done, enjoy it. The cracks won't show up immediately.
