can anyone tell me any cool non-english metal bands? especially german, romanian, japanese and korean.

start with the classics... metallica, motorhead... then there's things like avenged sevenfold, black veil brides, trivium... but really, start with the 80s metal. that's what all metals really based on.

And I'm not sure if you'll get into other metal subgenres straight away like from heavy metal to thrash then from thrash to death, as it might take time or you never know, you might not like it at all. But heavy metal and thrash have many similarities so you should like thrash too. People who listen to heavy metal also like thrash. I mean, Metallica was thrash back in the 80s and now they're heavy metal, and they're still great in my opinion (not as great as they used to though, but still)
So honestly, listening to metal comes naturally and some even start as little kids, listening to rock, i have been listening to rock since... As long as I remember. My dad would play a lot of: led zeppelin, system of a down, and more. Ok. Just like that other guy said, u can start off with old metal, I really like: system of a down, and metallica. And not counting from when the band started, i really loooove: my chemical romance, pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens, bring me the horizon, black veil brides, suicide silence, (they r not really metal but THEY R AWESOME- that bands name is called, Paramore. So i really listen to these bands, the most. Give a listen to some of these. Try it. If u want something a little softer, try paramore. Sorry thats all i could think of right now.
