Question:

Can copper tubing be exposed to kerosene fire?

Will copper tubing break, severely corrode, or bust open during 30 minutes in a kerosene fire?

Answer:

Depends.
NO
It depends. What is the wall thickness of the tube? Is there anything in the tube? If so, what? Is it flowing? If so, how fast and what is it's temperature? If you have a water cooled copper plate, you can melt tungsten on that copper plate and the copper will not melt. So... if you have a good flow of cool water and a typically copper water pipe, you can heat that copper tubing with a whole lot more heat than you can produce from burning kerosene and the copper will be pretty much the temperature of the water. If the copper is not water cooled, it will get hot and start oxidizing. If the copper pipe has a little bit of water in it and the copper tube is sealed on both ends, chances are you will get a steam explosion.
