Question:

Can I buy a fire hose & use it if it is ever needed?

I live out of the city. the last time that there was a fire out here it took the fire truck 30min from the time I called. I am sure that the neighbors that were closer to the burning home had already called the Fire Dept so who knows how long it REALLY took. We only live about 2 miles from the city line there are a lot of houses out here. I am just afraid that it could be us or one of my neighbors. I have already looked on they have them. I just don't want to buy one use it then get in trouble for it. I know it dosen't make any sense you you me but what would the county or fire dept do. What are the other parts that I should look for possible purchase to make sure it works well. Thanks in advance.

Answer:

Depending on what type it is, they might check and recertify it leaving the contents intact and reducing your cost.
ask petco or petsmart theyll have the best answers or the place you got it from.. and do some research.
Why do you need to recharge it? The fire extinguisher company who insects your extinguisher, checks to see if it is fully charged, mechanical parts in working order etc. They will discharge the extinguisher and empty the contents every 6 years to perform Hydrostatic testing of the cylinder anyways. On the other hand if you want to play with your extinguisher and have some fun go ahead. If you don't mind paying to have your extinguisher refilled.
ya as long as it doesnt get in ur eyes
