Question:

Can i camp(overnight) on Nature Reserves in Canberra?

Some mates and me were wondering whether it it is legal to camp for one night on these Nature Reserves. We live backing onto mt taylor and want to go up there with just some blankets and sleeping bags (no fire or booze) and sleep under the starsIs it legal/possible?

Answer:

Fireworks are legal in Virginia. I celebrate Fourth of July with my parents and my father sets off some of the fireworks he bought at a stand once the sun sets. There ARE legal restrictions: fireworks can't have any components that shoot higher than 6 feet (so no mortars). That being said, I think my driveway at times can be the best place to see fireworks as there's no large crowd and all.
If you want to go 9s, sell the lightning, there's a reason ford quit making them
Ok, so you need to do a bit more research. 30psi will not only blow up the engine, but it's completely unnecessary. Look up Johnny Lightning performance and Lethal performance if you really want to run 9s in 1/4. However, let me say this. The last person I knew personally to go that fast, did so with less than 20psi boost. But, here's the basics you'll need to run 9s. Ditch the leaf springs and install a ladder bar or 4 link rear suspension, basically eliminating any truck capability of the truck. You won't be able to tow or haul much, but it will get you to the 9s in a 5000lb truck. Rebuild the engine with all high end components. Custom crank, Carillo rods, CP low compression pistons, etc. with aftermarket or highly ported 03-04 heads (the 99-00 or 01 heads have a reputation of blowing out spark plugs because there aren't enough threads holding them in. Then you'll need a strong enough rear axle to attach to the 4 link, like a Ford 9. Plus you'll need a strong transmission, the stock one won't cut it. You'll need a trans-brake and a 4000-ish stall converter. You'll need big slicks and some ballast in the rear to get the power down. Then you'll need power. Lots of it. It will take a very large supercharger or turbo. Start with a 91mm turbo and work up. The fabrication and fuel and everything needed to make the kind of power to hit 9s will be $25,000+ to do it right. All told to do it right, you'll be spending $50,000-75,000 to run 9s in that truck, and the setup you're using would go 8s in a car.
