Question:

Can I dye light/pre-faded denim to a medium brown?

I need brown pants for my Renaissance fair costume, so I figured that for compatibility with my boots and just plain comfort, I would try and dye a pair of skinny jeans brown. Would that work or would it turn out. bleh? Thanks ^_^

Answer:

dude, who cares? just install the neon lights, they're hot as.
If you are that worried about getting rammed into,,, don't bother getting a motorcycle,,, get a friggin' hummer. If yer on a bike, u oughta have the talent to ride defensively, maybe you oughta stay on yer ten speed, and the sidewalks.
Depends on what the jeans are made of. If they're 100% cotton, it'll work, just make sure you use plenty of dye, jeans are heavy. If they have spandex or any synthetic percentage in the cloth, dyeing won't work. And sometimes the thread used to stitch the pants together may be polyester or nylon, and won't take the same dye as the cloth, so end up a lighter color after dyeing.
