Answer:

I'm afraid your question is unclear. If you're asking whether you can exhaust your boiler directly into the space, the answer is NO. You will die if you do. Maybe not die, but it's an incredibly dangerous thing to try, even if the space doesn't actually open onto your living space. Combustion gases could migrate up to the living space and cause significant health effects or death. If you're asking whether you can exhaust an air conditioner directly into a room, maybe. The AC only generates hot air, but it needs cool (cooler than the exhaust, anyway) air to do its thing. If the AC is a small one and the room decently large, you can condition a small space in your basement even though there isn't any other AC down there. I have an office like that. It's a plywood shack in the basement of the shelter; a small window unit keeps the shack a decent temperature, but the rest of the basement becomes uncomfortably warm all summer. Fortunately, the rest of the basement is just storage and no people, so it's not a big deal. So if you're asking about the AC and don't mind the rest of the space down there getting kinda hot, it would be okay. But let me reiterate: YOU CANNOT EXHAUST YOUR BOILER INDOORS. [edit] Somebody came through and gave down thumbs, but left no input of their own. Thank you for nothing, troll. Go away now. Or better yet, exhaust your boiler indoors.
NO! Your boiler exhaust is TOXIC! (meaning...it can KILL you) This exhause MUST be vented OUTDOORS. I really must ask...where is your boiler exhaust currently going? Normally, the exhaust pipe feeds into a chimney stack goes up the chimney out into the air, far above the roofline.
