maddy drives over a circular speed bump. while going over she is shocked to find that she only wheighs half her weight! if she was travelling at 80 km/h, then calculate the radius of the bump.

This piping arrangement doesn't sound correct. Typically you would hook the washer into the drain pipe at a level close to the height of the washer, say 3-4 feet above the floor. Did someone add a second connection point to that line for some reason? If it were a vent for the washer drain, it should extend to above your roof line. You would never vent a sewage line inside your house. I'd call a plumber to look at it.
