My son will be 4 in May and i'm starting to plan his party. He wants a fire truck party, but I am not that creative and am having trouble coming up with ideas. What are some cute or cool decorations and things to do?

The Romans did have sword drills for their soldiers, but the drills I have seen recorded deal with using their shields. I can't say for sure, but I suspect that the soldiers would train on their own . The more experienced soldiers and junior officers would have a vested interest in making sure their men could fight effectively if cut off from the main formation . And while the glades could still be used for slashing, it was most effective as a stabbing weapon. So the concentration would be on utilizing the weapon to both defend, then strike in that most efficient method.
