Question:

Can I glue fiberglass before applying resin?

I‘m making a pepakura helmet and if I can glue the fiberglass to the helmet and then apply resin. Would that be okay? I just wanted dot be sure that I get the fiberglass on correctly and without any spaces. Not a LOT of glue just a small layer to make sure there are no bubbles.

Answer:

pretend ? intend You are going to have to be very careful with the resin because it sticks to almost anything - you will have to apply a fairly serious separator to get the resin mold off and plan the resin mold carefully in sections to avoid serious under cuts. But if you cast the polyurethane, you should already have a mold, why do you need another? Are you sure it is polyurethane?
