Answer:

Multiple optionsI guess it comes down to what type of digestive issues he is havingAnything from colic to laminitis, to ulcers1Find a diet that is LOW in starch and sugar This will help prevent starch overload (acidosis) in the hindgut and maintain a proper pH to ensure a healthy microbial population2Feed small meals spread throughout the day (never more than 5 lbs at one time)This creates consistency more towards a horse's natural grazing state of eating continuously thoughout the day3Use feeds with highly digestible ingredientsThis helps the digestive process along and prevents too much starch from reaching the hindgut4Provide 2% of your horse's bodyweight in longstem forageThis will enhance hindgut motility and increase the health of the beneficial microbial population5Give your horse time to exercise: turn out, ride, walk, etcThis helps the movement of buildup in the horse to allow proper flow6Maintain a schedule for feeding, vaccinations, worming etcHorses work best with consistency in diet and managementIf you are looking for a feed with added fiber, forage should be your first optionSecondly, if you add fat and fiber to the diet that can also help with digestive issues (Try Buckeye Nutrition Safe N Easy or Cadence)Another option is a chopped hay source (Try Equi-Safe)Hope this helps.
Here is what I have done and it works great! Tear a sheet of aluminum foil and fold it in halfNow you can either use custard cups or a large cup or glass for this next stepTurn the cup or glass upside down and press the foil over the bottomForm it tight and then remove the foilThey should be about the size of cupcake molds and It is now ready to spray with Pam and fill with batterKeep making these till you've used all your batterSet them on a cookie sheet and bake using the directions on the boxThey will turn out wonderful and if you use enough spray, you can re-use these molds again.
