Question:

Can i melt glass with heated copper?

also, if i had copper at a temperature high enough to do so, would it also melt the pliers or tweezers that i use to handle it? just wondering o.o

Answer:

Copper would have to be in liquid form (over 1083 C) to melt common glass, whose melting point is about 1500 degrees Celsius. Let alone other types of glass, which can reach an excess of 2300 degrees Celsius before melting. Pliers, tweezers, etc. would melt at about the same range, depending on the exact chemical composition.
