I have a hollow inner plasterboard wall with no bricks or breeze blocks inside it jus two sheets of plasterboard. I was wondering what method i would use to mount the tv without it falling off.Answers would be greatly appreciaited ..
they sell special wall mounts so yes
they sell special wall mounts that help give the wall support and they attach right to ur tv go to where you bought the tv and ask an employe
i certainly did this as quickly as and my television became no longer on the wall extra advantageous than 20 minutes and it fell off and shattered the demonstrate screen and busted the television up incredibly good, to no longer point out the huge gouge in my newly re surfaced hardwood flooring, so no its no longer a good option. like the others reported, ascertain you mount it right into a wall stud.
If it is a lightweight flat screen, a regular mount with toogle bolts may work - use your own judgement. Just make sure the wall is strong enough. If the wall is sturdy and backed by wooden slats or wire mesh, you may be OK. If it is a 32 inch tube TV you might be better off just using a regular TV stand - safe and simple.
Don't just attach it to drywall or plaster (too brittle and not strong enough). Anchor it to studs in the wall with large enough screw bolts (not nails). You may need a stud finder (which uses magnetism to locate where the drywall is nailed to the studs). Are you sure it is two sheets of plasterboard (why)? My old home (built 1910) is mostly drywall over plaster.
