Is it recomended or not or will it ruin the sofa if I do?
I have mine Scotchguarded and it looks great and the scotchguard works great.

Microsuede manufacturers recommend that you do not use Scotchguard -- it reacts with the fiber and causes stains to bond more than without it.
NO! I worked at many furniture stores and no one ever uses scotchguard on microsuede sofas.....It will ruin your sofa....You don't need to use this on microsuede, it cleans up very easy with water and a low PH soap....
