Can I use minced garlic for garlic mashed potatoes?

all the recipes i see on here all use cloves of garlic and i dont have that but i really want to make garlic mashed potatoesand can anyone give me a recipe for good baked chicken???

yes minced garlic should be fine, i also suggest boiling the potatoes with a small bit of garlic17 coarsely crushed saltine crackers (i prefer ritz) 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme salt and pepper 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves about 6 oz each 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard preheat oven to 425 line a baking sheet or glass baking pan with aluminum foil put cracker crumbs, cheese, thyme, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl mix well then add oil, coat crumbs evenly wash chicken properly, spread mustard over chicken breast, coat chicken fully with crumb mixture place on baking sheet or pan bake for 25 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink on the inside
