Question:

can i use plumbers putty on compression fittings?

I'm replacing a water shutoff valve on my bathroom sink. The pipe coming from the wall is 1950's galvanized and i'm installing a new valve with compression fittings. I can't stop the new valve from leaking at the connection to the old galvanized pipe. Can I use putty on the threads to stop the very slow leak??

Answer:

The concept is quite simple, you set the alarm for the time you want to get up. Since most people get up at the same time everyday Monday - Friday you only need to set it once. At bedtime you turn the alarm on in the morning after the alarm sounds and you wake up you turn the alarm off. Since you turned the alarm off when you woke up in the morning there will be no alarm in the evening.
It should work they may be different thickness in pipe schedule 40 or SDR 21 as long as when its tight you can tug on it and it dong come apart it should be good for drainage.
