Can I use Ultra Blue gasket maker on a water pump? The packaging is not labeled high heat.

Answer:

Yes, but you have to let the gasket maker cure for at least 24 hours. After you have driven it for a couple days, be sure to re-tighten the flange bolts, as the gasket maker will shrink with heat, causing possible leakage. Good Luck !
i could replace the gasket now particularly of attempting to recollect on end leak. reckoning on the place you reside, it somewhat is gonna get chilly authentic quickly. Wrenching in chilly climate sucks. And if the unique water pump has by no skill been replaced, you're able to think of approximately doing that while you have it aside, no count if it is not too costly for a clean/rebuilt pump. i be responsive to it could be in simple terms my success to take all of it aside, replace the gaskets, then have the water pump crap out 2 months later. DOH!
its alright to use it with a gasket in a very small amount, but i wouldn't want to use it to make a gasket with,i use it when replacing gaskets and things ,but in very small amounts, the high temperature gasket maker is one of the better ones to use for doing this on a water pump, used in small amounts though you can use the blue just to act as a holder to help keep the gasket in place, but i don't recommend it to make gasket with ,good luck.
