Question:

Can I wash my winter gloves in the washer?

I just noticed that my winter gloves totally reek from sweat. The tag says not to wash them but rather wipe them with a damp cloth. A damp cloth won‘t be enough. What will happen if I wash them in a high efficiency washer? The shell is 100% nylon and the inside is 100% polyester.

Answer:

I would if you have a hand wash program
If the tag says don't wash, don't. You run the risk of destroying them. But you own them, and can do whatever you want to them. Your choice
Oh please . just throw them in the washer and dryer, unless they are some kind of designer fabric, like water-resistant film, or some kind of power-weave. I would turn them inside out, and put them in the hand-wash setting. Put them in the dryer on fluff-air setting.
