The existence of magnetic monopoles would require significant changes in our knowledge of the physical world. Since the magnetic force isn't a real force, but rather caused because we are not in the same reference frame as an object feeling a magnetic force. Because of this, we shouldn't expect the magnetic force to have a monopole.
