Question:

can someone help me set up an experiment?

ok so I want to measure hydrogen gas in some way (pressure maybe?) created by a chemical reaction between aluminum foil and hydrochloric acidhow would I do this? what equipment would I need? test tubes, different brands of aluminum foil, some tool to measure hydrogen gas, something to contain the hydrogen gas?

Answer:

You could be allergic to glutenTry gluten free products for a while, or get tested.
Well, the reason fiber is good for you is because your body cannot digest it, it gives our stomach something to work on to keep it in good shapeYou're probably just taking a little too muchI'd ask your doctor though.
Your body is adjusting to the new volume of fiber you're eatingTry to reduce the amount a little, then build up your body to react to a more fibrous dietYou'll be a little gassy and constipated for a week or twoThe body has to adjust to the change in dietIt'll all come out fine in the end, though (HAHA!)
You need a conical flask connected to a 100ml ground glass gas syringe to collect the hydrogen and measure its volume Put foil in flask, and suspend test tube with acid on a bit of cotton so it is uprightStopper the flaskRead syringe volumeNow tilt flask, acid comes out, reacts with Al and gas goes into syringeWhen complete and cool, read syringe volumeDifference is volume of hydrogen Repeat with different foils.
