heterogeneous means you can tell the difference between its particles. homogeneous means you can't. so a generally iron ore is found with impurities, so heterogeneous. b Quartz is pure silica - SiO2 - Homogenous. c Granite is homogeneous d Homogenous e oil and vinegar do not mix, heterogeneous f homogeneous g rainwater is generally homogeneous, unless it has dirt in it :P h Nitrogen is homogeneous.
