Answer:

The only element that rusts is iron. Alloys of iron such as steel will also show rust. The other elements may combine with oxygen but it is called oxidation or corrosion not rust.
iron, silver, copper, and sometimes gold too. any metal that clashes with damp or water in the air rusts
Only iron, and alloys containing it (such as steel) rust. Rust is specifically iron oxide. Other metals tarnish or oxidize or corrode, but that is not rust.
Most metals corrode but some form what is called a patina that protects the metal underneath. Iron does not form a patina because of the number of oxidation states. The Oxygen eventually pries the iron molecule off by attaching one oxygen, then another and by the third oxygen atom the iron atom is not attached anymore which uncovers the metal below and so on. The so called noble metals do not rust, gold, platinum, palladium, iridium. Silver forms a patina which involves sulfur, the oxide is black. It does not pry loose the silver atoms from the surface.
Most metals oxidize (combine with oxygen). Gold does not. Of the metals that oxidize, rust (iron oxide) only happens to metals containing iron. Copper and silver tarnish and can be polished to remove the oxide layer. Mercury is a metal (typically in liquid or gaseous state). Lead and aluminum also oxidize, but the compound is not called rust. Check the periodic table of elements.
