Question:

Can this make my stove spark or catch on fire?

OK we have a year old electric stove, so my mom came up with the idea to put these alliminium bowl type things under the electric burner so she does not have to clean under it oftenNow can these things ignite, or cause a short circuit? one of my burners today just caught on fire and i put it out, and 2 more were smokingso i want to know if this could have been the cause?

Answer:

You should definitely go to a dermatologist.
they are just clogged pores so they're like mini versions of pimplesjust wash your face
I am surprised that a 1 year old Electric stove didn't come equipped with collectorsThese are a necessary accessory which help prevent spills and boil overs to run into the stove itselfas for you questions, if the proper collectors were installed (there are about 3 standard styles) They should not come into contact with the heating elementsIf they are touching the coils, there will not be a short but they will be heated to the point of possibly igniting any thing in the collectors No need to dispose of these, However, you must be aware of their condition and clean them when there is anything found to have collectedMany people line the collector with aluminum foil to save the trouble of cleaningJust remove the old foil and add newMake sure the foil is pressed snugly to the surface of the collectorsIf you collectors are a bad fit, Home Depot, Sears, etccarry replacementsTake the manufacturers name with you as well as how many of each size burners you have,
