If there was a fire and the fire alarm said break glass could you kick the glass? Would there be a situation where you would kick the glass and use the hammer? How many kicks would it take to break the glass? How would you clear the glass to pull the handle? Would you need to take a practice kick to see how high to kick? Could you use the hammer to clear away the glass that didn't break to pull the handle?
The religious tend to not understand natural phenomenon.
Change the batteries and re-set them. I understand how annoying the chirping can be! But smoke detectors are very important, so make sure you change the batteries and don't just remove and not replace them!
