If money is the problem then definitely aluminum it is the money maker in almost any recycling program, and for the environment making aluminum is very hard on the planet an aluminum can that is recycled can be back in use inside of 60 days From the point of the recycler not only is aluminum worth more but it is far easier to sort you may get other metal but it is easily sorted out with magnets and weight gauges, paper is another story sometimes you get cardboard, phonebooks, etcthrown in with wanted paper and it is more difficult and expensive to sort.
