Hi. I have this problem, I got into my car turned on the dome light, the light looked as if it lost alot of juice, like the battery was dying/dead and then tried to start my car, the alarm goes off. It will stop if I leave the key in the ignition but when I take it out it will keep going then stop for awhile then go off again. The car doesn‘t even start at all so I think it‘s dead, I don‘t know much about cars. It‘s a Mitsubishi Galant ‘96 so it‘s not like it‘s in great condition. Plus, the previous owner said in the past, the only time the alarm ever went off was when it was in an accident. Please help!!!Thanks so much!
this happened to my 01 camry when i was running latei turned off the alarm by pressing and holding down on the alarm button (usually marked by a red light) for about 30-60 seconds. that'll turn off your alarm and will probably disable your remote. manually lock your car door and take it to a repair shop when you have time. i don't know too much about cars so your alarm might work differently than minei hope this somewhat helps you though. i know how irritating it can get.
You need a new battery. They only last for 4 years. Check out the last time the car had a new battery installed. The alarm will keep ringing to warn you that the battery is going dead. Hope this helps!! :D
it would help if you had the instructions for the alarm system. i had a clifford alarm for my previous car and always went off when i tried starting the car while the battery was weak. the car wouldnt start even after giving it a jump because of the alarm system. what i did to disable the alarm was via a rocker switch, which was near the clutch pedal of my car. i would have the car taken to a car alarm specialist and have it disabled
