For some odd reason, I will catch my cat trying to eat plastic wrap. There were times where I had to force his mouth open, reach in and pull it out before he swallowed it. Why is he doing this? He has fresh food and fresh water everyday.
it's probably a psychological thing his going through, u should talk to ur vet. If he keeps eating it, it could be fatal.
Why do you have plastic wrap everywhere in your house, Dexter Morgan? Are you sure the cat is eating it, and not just chewing on it? Have you tried a new kind of food? Maybe your cat just isn’t very smart. Let Darwin’s theory take its course.
Some plastic is made with beef tallow, so it may retain just a tiny bit of beef smell and/or flavor. Lots of cats also just like the texture/noise of chewing on plastic. My boy cat will fish the plastic seal rings from around ice cream containers out of the trash and chew on them. Do not let your kitty swallow it. Just try to keep the plastic out of his reach in a closed drawer or pantry. Get a covered trash can so he can't pull it out of there.
Idk why but it's not at all good for him!
