Question:

chemistry help please!?

To find the mass percent of dolomite [CaMg(CO3)2] in a soil sample, a geochemist titrates 11.10 g of soil with 30.70 mL of 0.2516 M HCl. What is the mass percent of dolomite in the soil?

Answer:

Try using liquid laundry detergent. Rub it all over the stain. eventually, it will come out! Good Luck! Meg
there is a product called resolve for carpets they also make a fabric cleaner i would suggest you try this for removing your stain
try removing most of the dried remains by using a soft bristled brush (ie toothbrush), then use a little baking soda and hydrogen Peroxide and use a small circular motion with the same toothbrushmake sure the bristles are clean.dont make it too wet you dont want to ruin the leather.make sure you keep blotting to absorb the wetness
CaMg(CO3)2 + 4 HCl → CaCl2 + MgCl2 + 2 CO2 + 2 H2O Supposing there is nothing else in the soil which reacts with HCl: (0.03070 L) x (0.2516 mol/L HCl) x (1 mol CaMg(CO3)2 / 4 mol HCl) x (184.4008 g CaMg(CO3)2/mol) / (11.10 g) 0.03208 3.208% CaMg(CO3)2 by mass
