What is foam? Explain the function of aluminum sulfate in this experimentcite apractical application of the principle illustrated in this experiment cedure:Dissolve one gram of sodium nicarbonate in 10mL of distilled water in a test tubeIn another test tube dissolve few grams of a detergent and a half gram of aluminum sulfate in 10mL of waterMix these two solutions in a 100mL beaker and observeMeasure the volume of foam produced.
It's just bubblesThe aluminum sulfate is just reacting with your bicarbonates and producing gasThe detergent is just there to help formation of bubbles.
when people back then bake cookies, did they all have parchment paper? just butter the pan up
Just wanted to add a little information.I am going to emphasize the very lightly greasing the cookie sheet part as over-greasing will promote your cookies to spread too much.
the recipes usually say when to grease and when not to but i used parchment paper and i didn't like the resultsnow if i bake them i cover the cookie sheet with aluminium foil and grease them if it calls for itif you bake cookies on a regular basis i would invest in a silpat sheet ( can be found in any store that carries baking supplies for about $19.00) they are worth it and your cookies come out great everytimehope i helpedgood luck.
When making cookies, I know my Mum and I will sometimes put butter down on the cookies tray instead of using paperIt's easy, if your making cookies I know my recipe that I use usually calls for 1-2 blocks of butterYou know those cube things that come wrapped up in tin foil, I safe the tin foil thing and whip down my baking tray with that.
