We have a Chrysler town & country van that is about 5 years old. It has automatic doors where you press a button to open the sliding side doors, but recently one of the doors gets stuck in the middle and you have to push the door the rest of the way. We cannot see anything stuck on the track and we have tried oiling it, but as time goes on place where the door stops is gradually moving. Any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks!
The wiring harness for the door (it looks like a plastic bicyle chain) has a broken wire. When the door slides back to a certain point, the wire comes apart. Replacement should be about $150-200 dollars. If you are handy, you can try to open up the harness and repair the broken wires.
