My family has had 2 microfiber couches for close to 2 years and they are light tan color, so with pets and kids, they are starting to look pretty shabby. I have tried Resolve Multi-Fabric and used that to wash the cushions, and it worked at first, until someone spilled a drink on the couch and I tried to get it out. Now it doesn't appear to be coming out too well and there are what appears to be streaks from the cloth I used (even though it was a white one).Does anyone have any ideas on how to clean the sofa cushions so that they will look cleaner without streaks? Or do I have to get it professionally cleaned?
try getting a grounding cable and attach it to something metal on the frame of the furniture and then down to something solid on floor, past the carpet and into the wood or concrete or what ever is solid and connects to the foundation below. that way the static has a chance to discharge from the furniture and to the ground. and thus helping to reduce its attraction of the particles. like the dust, lint, and hair. other than that maybe some sort of cover, but that defeats the purpose of having micro fiber covered sofa. good luck hope that helps.
