does anyone know a website that has like a chart with pictures of the different power supply connectors and where in the desktop computer they go all I know is the 24 pin goes to the motherboard and the 6 pin goes to my graphics card
I take it that you are referring to a desktop. OK, so you got those down already, notice that there are several cables with 4 connectors, those give power to optical devices, like the dvd burner or the hdd, if the hdd is ATA, i it's SATA, then is a red cable with black terminal, there are suppose to be two of them, one with a small terminal to transfer data, the other one with a bigger terminal to give power. Notice in the heatsink, this is the little fan that keep cool the processor, is a 4 pin terminal, in the mother board, connect the cable that goes from the heatsink to this terminal. For the start button you must search for the mother board that is installed, they are all different. From the power supply perspective you are OK, you can't go wrong with the rest of it. Have fun with it.
in case you're blowing 13amp fuses then you definately've a defective PSU. It desires repairing or changing. EDIT: Makes somewhat extra experience now. might no longer be PSU that's defective it would purely be doing that's job and closing down because of the fact something on board is overloading it (defective). in case you're no longer skilled this is suited which you have it regarded at via expert. or you could attempt to coach one way or yet another whether this is PSU or no longer. There are only a handful or so connectors on the modern ATX Power Supply. Pictures of the connectors or the adapters or extenders can be found in the manual for your motherboard (found in the manufacturer's website) or at online cable vendors (see link for one, below.) Sometimes an adapter or entender is needed due to the cables being too short - especially in the case where a new case has the power supply mounted on the bottom, rather than the top of the case.
