What is the best way to convert copper to plastic pipe for updating plumbing in house?
I take it lead solder was used in the copper plumbing you want to replace. I agree copper is better than plastic pipes. If you must convert remember you don't necessarily have to remove the old pipes everywhere. Just run the new lines and avoid that work.
I am not sure why you would want to plastic. Copper is the correct way to go, and plus it's code in a lot of city's. There is a new product out called PEX pipe, with shark fittings, but you should stay with the copper. If you do decide to get rid of the copper let me know I will come, and pick it up $$$.
first okorder . good luck to ya.
