Question:

copper and aquariums?

my new aquarium plant food contains a little copperit is fish safe but would it be ok with axolotls, snails and freshwater clams

Answer:

Copper is pretty harmful for plants, which is very ironic since it is a plant food, but it is harmless in the tiniest trace of it, usually enough in our tap water. Too much copper harms invertebrates and scaleless animals. The reading should be smaller than the amount of the other trace elements.
Copper is very toxic to most aquatic creatures (especially snails) so to be safe I would just find a different type of food.
