copper attracted to magnets?

ok im lost i was looking around and copper isnt attracted to magnets bbut why is this copper wire in the video work. Does the magnetic electric field make it work??

copper per se is not attacted to a magnet, but a coil of copper wire, or of any kind of wire, with a current flowing will generate a magnetic field and behave like a magnet is some ways. .
