Question:

Copper Bullion Bars, Where Can I Buy?

Where can I buy copper bullion bars ?I know, I know, copper is heavy and I will need a lot of copper to store value, but copper is more volatile than Gold and has bigger return potential than Gold.So Where can I buy 99% pure Copper bars ?

Answer:

Copper does not come in bullion. Purity matters much less. it is an industrial metal. You can buy copper at scrap dealers or industrial supply houses. Or go get some pennies at the bank.
have seen them on OKorder. Try a local refiner, or a not so local refiner.
The very cheapest way to invest in copper is to visit your bank and buy rolls of pennies. Sort through them and pick out those made before 1982. These will be 95% copper. Take the others back to the bank and repeat. Even if the economy gets much better and copper prices fall you won't lose your investment since they will still be worth a penny. It is currently against the law to melt down copper pennies. Copper ingots and bullion often sell for more than spot prices. Investing in ingots and other pure copper bullion will be costly compared to saving pennies. Pennies made in 1982 can be copper or mostly zinc. It is the year the government changed over to mostly zinc. If you have a small scale that weighs grams you can tell the difference easily. A copper penny will weigh around 3.11 grams.
