Question:

Copper Furnace?

What is the lower temperature range at which a copper furnace is effective? Why is a slightly or considerably higher temperature desirable? For a copper furnace constructed of glass, what controls the useful upper temperature?

Answer:

A copper furnace constructed of glass? Wouldn't that be a glass furnace? Or are you talking melting copper? If so, find the melting point of copper and you'll know the effective points.
Why the heck would you want a copper furnace? Copper is only good to about 1100 degrees C. Iron is almost 1600 C, Ti 1700, Pt 1800 C Probably some steel alloy do better than that! By the way glass melts at around 1650 degrees C
