in chem. today we had to mix copper(II) chloride dihtdrate with water and mix. We then added Aluminum foil. This created a color change, made a gas, and changed teh temperature. Can anybody tell me why this happened?!
well im thinking the gas is from the hydrogen in the copper(II) chloride dihydrate. 3CuHCl + Al ---> 3Cu + 3H + AlCl3 (im not postive about this so im sorry if i made this worse!!) im pretty sure thats the reaction, its double-replacement, the products produce a gas (H) the color change is probably from the aluminum replacing the copper. it would help if i knew what color it changed to. ifi t changed to red then its probably form the copper. as for temperature, im not sure about that...but thats what i think.
LOL c'mon guy you are able to no longer try this!!! You run for the time of a few sturdy information. examining a comedian and make us all look stupid!!! LOL I haven't any thought what that is!!! (a minimum of i replaced into keen to confess it!!!)
