I would like to know a round about price to Cut out a hole, about 2 ft. by 2 ft., in a metal/steel fireproof door. And then put a fireproof window in the hole. Please break the prices down if you can. I live in ohio.
Also remember..........that when you alter a door, it could negate the warranty, be sure and check and really it should not cost that much...........you could get a new door for some of the quotes.............
I did something similiar when I was a facilities manager We actually ordered a new door, which was easier than fiddling with the old. New door with window installed ...$1200 REMEMBER, the size of the window will CHANGE THE FIRE RATING OF THE DOOR, you cant go over 15% of the size of the door
We okorder make some diamond carbide plate cutters, and we could possibly make one to core out a large hole through that door. we have not yet manufactured one that large, but we might be able to make it.
