Question:

Could a remote control Bulldozer, Crane, and a Backhoe be sent on planet Mercury for dig, and live underground?

a martian rover times ten along with the astronauts next going to planet Mercury after an underground tunneling could be madePlanet Mercury soil loose with some little-big W-54 bombs for demolition

Answer:

idk maybe
No Mercury is too close to the sun and it's temperatures are extremely high, so you'll just burst into flames and die horribly.
The cost would be enormous to even get them out of earths atmosphere for one and Mercury's temperature would either freeze the fuel or boil it off and the machinery would melt in the suns light so you would have to get them underground so fast that it would be imposable!
If people are willing to spend the money, yes. Such a project would not require much new technology but the expense would probably be somewhere around the whole world's full output. For several years. Just start to try to think of all the intermediary steps required For example the Martian rovers are tiny, making them ten times bigger would barely be a start. They have to be many more times bigger to make a human sized borehole, and more more times bigger than that to make a hole big enough to put in the equipment to house a human in such a tough environment. But there is nothing except expense to stop the project. TIme and technology will bring the price down to plausible. Such a project is not likely to be considered until human colonies are already established someplace and a real economic benefit for doing it is found.
