Answer:

lightning occurs when a stream of negative charges tries to reach the ground while positive charges from the ground are dawn upward , especially from tall, pointed objects the two charges meet and balance themselves out in a massive upward transfer of positive charges. Several up and down exchanges follow but they happen so fast we usually see just one flickering flash of lightning. Fewer people now than years ago when larger numbers of people worked outdoors at farms. Today, more people live and work in towns and cities surrounded by buildings which attract the strikes instead. High buildings are protected by lightning rods. These provide a safe route for lightning to reach the ground. Do: 1.seek shelter 2.if indoors, stay away from metal sinks, radiators and windows. 3.leave the golf coarse (only if your there). 4.stop swimming or wind surfing and head for shelter on land.
With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina. According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.
I think it works very fast - maybe at the speed of light!
Fire extinguishers control carbon dioxide which is normally a gas at room temperature. When it is compressed to fit into a fire extinguisher is has a much lower volume. Using the Ideal Gas Law, PV nRT you can calculate the volume of the gaseous carbon dioxide that will be released if you know the number of grams (converted to moles) to CO2 in the extinguisher, the volume of the extinguisher, and the temperature. You can rearrange the Ideal Gas Law equation so that V nRT/P. Be sure to convert grams of carbon dioxide to moles of carbon dioxide (grams/44.01), R is a constant (use the form with 0.0821 (atm L)/( mol and Kelvins) T should be in Kelvins (C+273.15) P should be in atmospheres (pressure Hg/760)
