Couldn't we humans learn just a little something from animals?
Infrared light.. The term light can span a range of wavelengths of electromagnetic energy that is far wider than that of visible light. We speak of ultraviolet light and infrared light, neither of which we can see, where ultraviolet light has wavelengths shorter than visible light and infrared light has longer wavelengths than visible light. Infrared light is associated with heat. For instance, a camera which is sensitive to infrared can detect people when they are warmer than the surroundings. This is a common theme in some television programs. When we consider that metals are usually good conductors of heat, we could argue that infrared energy could pass through metals, but it is really the metal re-radiating the infrared energy. In addition, the resolution of any such image would be greatly reduced.
