I am not suggesting that God did share His glory. A natural result in,light is because f His glory.I do ask this because I am having a hard time to accept the fact that on day one the light is the object of the creation story for God had no reason to create light since He is light.
Prior to the creation God did not need light in the way that we do. He created all things and He did not need to do things in the order that appear logical to us, because He is God and can do all things in ways which we do not understand. Plants need the sun and the rain to grow (for us) but God did not need to put the sun there before the plants could grow nor did He need to give rain immediately. A god who can bring back life to someone who has died does not work by the same rules that we need. He created the sun, moon and stars, and all the other things that we read of in the creation story, for man to benefit from. There was a system in creation with rules that made things work 'for man'. The moon controlling the tides etc. He gave us all things to work with and to learn from and man has never stopped learning from day one. God did not need light for Himself but He made it for us. When this life is over and we who worship and love Him go to be with Him we will no longer be on this earth with these rules and laws of nature. We will then be with Him on 'His home ground' where He will be the light and there will no longer be the need for any other source of light.
Light in the beginning and increasing the light is our job as well. More on my biography. You have put the whole thing in a nutshell. God is the light, period.
I'm pretty sure God can see without light
you live in a lie created by the darkness. the truth is the light, when you accept the light you accept the father, jesus died so that you could tell difference between good and evil, when you die you will see the light and the light will speak of your name and what is to happen, then you will understand, and return but before you do look to the future and see if you see anything. when we dream we are in the battle field. i sleep to fight the evil of this place we call earth. the war is fought with words now instead of pain. that was the peace jesus gave you. the governemtn were the power that had to learn that death boar no strenght. that was jesus bringing mercy into the world. what more like me he doubted God once before he died to show us its ok the suffer, and once more he breathed the name of God in the tongue that the devil taught humankind. this is surrender to the devil his life for yours the ransom was his death, then battle began. and now we are victoriuos over death. yet to understand why he would bother with people like me who continue to defiely gods grace with its presence but thisis my pain and the witness ibear of the true living God or physical love
