Question:

Did new fuel cell ruin todays race?

A little smaller or larger could have took fuel equation out of race. Everyone would have pushed harder instead of conserving gas the whole race. I mean it started on lap one. Sorry for all the whining but I am one of the few here who enjoy watching the road races. Damn I just wanted to see the go all out

Answer:

yes not because of the new fuel cell but because it and the COT made it impossible to really get a feel for whether the teams could eliminate a stop. Normally it is no big deal on an oval since pitting means losing a lap, pitting under the yellow is almost a given but on a road course where you almost never want to pit under yellow it was huge
YES!!!! I would like to see a bigger tank so the race is decided on the track and not which team was fortunate to get an extra gal. in on the last stop.
Yes!! I agree. I don't like the fuel mileage races, I wanna see them go all out!! Not putting around worrying if they are going to run out of gas.
No. Try and pay attention at these races and you will find that every race no matter what size the tank is the whole race is based of the fuel. PERIOD. This is racing 101 The only time the fuel is not the determining pit stop strategy is when the tires go before the fuel. I think you need to understand this racing sport before you go asking silly questions like this.
The fuel cell or lack thereof killed the race today.Even before the race started it was all about winning on pit road. There was little or no racing today because everyone pitted so out of sequence the best cars were never together.Im not trying to take anything away from JPM but my gosh he couldnt even get rid of Mcmurray (not known for his road prowess) until he ran out of gas.
