Do 2 wheel drive chevy trucks have different wiring harness' than 4 wheel trucks. I believe all same year Chevys models have standard wiring harness' but I'm not sure if the four wheel drive trucks have the same as the two wheel drives. Does any one know? If not does any one know where to find out?
Most manufacturers, to reduce cost, use the same wiring harness for all sub models of each make and model. There are definitely some exceptions, but as for pickups, they generally use the same harness and just put termination plugs into the connections they aren't using. Your best bet would be to call up a dealer and ask for a part number for both a 2WD and 4WD model of whatever truck it is you are looking for. If the part numbers are the same, you have your answer.
