my husband bought me some acrylic paint last year for Christmas( i was 37 weeks pregnant) now my daughter almost 1 i am using them for the first timesome of the tubes have been open are ruined, they wont come out of the tubebut some that have been opened are fineand there are some tubes that have never been opened, you have to break an aluminum seal, are trashwhat makes them go bad?

You want the hot air out of the atticIt needs to be ventilated to outside air temperature in the winterOtherwise the rising heat will melt the snow cover on the roof and form ice dams that will drip down through your ceilingGo for cold not heat up there.
An air turbine unless it's broken should not be covered in the winterIt not only moves out the hot air in the summer, but keeps air moving through the attic, taking moist air out so it doesn't condense and cause mold or wet down the insulation and reduce it's effectiveness.
That type of vent only vents the atticIt has nothing to do with the air in the rest of the house.
Acrylics have a water base for oneI have noticed with both the acrylics and the oils certain pigments dry out faster than othersI also think the grade and quality have something to do with it as wellStudent grade seems to go bad faster than artist gradeThe paint sets tend to go faster than buying the individual tubes.
A minor point but it makes very little difference if the rotation of the vent is stopped or notThe majority of the air flow is due to convection and little if any increase in air flow is brought about by the rotation of the vent.
