If I buy a new Sabertooth 990FX board and an FX-8150 cpu.. will I still need to update the BIOS before it will work properly, or do they update the BIOS on new boards during manufacturing as updates become available for them?
No, not unless the board had been sitting in a warehouse for a very long time. They get shipped with the newest available bios.
