Question:

Do birds mock car alarms?

I was sitting outside at work and I heard a bird tweeting in the parking lot. I swear it sounded like a car alarm! Is it possible that they are mocking the car alarm after hearing them so much? Or is it just my imagination?

Answer:

yes phones,tv commercials, people, anything they hear frequently they sometimes imitate my mother inlaws bird would make a train whistle sound after a few years living by train tracks
Yes, mockingbirds can do it. I heard one mocking a cell phone ringer once too. They pick up all kinds of calls - why they are called mockingbirds.
most of time a bad belt or loose belt
I had a door once in an old house that creaked every time i opened it and i had a cockatiel that lived right next to it, after a while it started making high pitched creaking noises when i got close to the door My gues is that bird has probably heard a lot of car alarms (seeing as it hangs out at the parking lot) and maybe it was trying to mimick it some birds just make noises that one may imagine to be something they know i wouldnt know really what to tell you unless you saw what kinda bird it was
