do fire extinguisher servicers get good pay?

Answer:

You do not really need to worry about diseases as long as you wash your hands. It is good, however to use gloves to prevent getting your scent on it, which may scare away other birds. If you can find the nest, and if it still occupied, put it back ASAP, but if not, bring it to your local Animal Control center, where it might be rehabilitated.
St. croix is pretty good for the money but I would look into star rods upgraded from a penn to star rod and its the best rod ive ever had I believe there in the same price range as st croix best bet buy them from somewhere like a ***** sporting goods try it out for a day or two and return it if you dont like it
As long as the bird and your skin or openings i.e. your nostrils, mouth, eyes etc. don't come into contact, yes you will be. Well done on doing it by the way - you know about health and safety! Also, it's important for the bird - not wearing the gloves could cause your scent to come off on it, leading to it being rejected by the mother. NB even though you wore gloves, you should still wash your hands thoroughly afterwards and put the gloves in the washing machine. Wild birds can carry zoonotic diseases (those which can pass from animals to humans).
First of all, baby birds don't just have diseases, like in their skin/feathers, its in their poop. so you will be totally fine just holding it. and feed it hard-boiled egg mashed up and fishing worms. Hope this helped. :)
Yes just don't let the bird touch your skin and I would put it back in the nest as soon as possible
